What types of positions do you fill?
DWC hires a variety of consulting and engineering-based positions, but we are not a staffing agency like many “consulting” firms in Pittsburgh. We hire only capable consultants with whom we expect to establish a long-term relationship working on exciting technical projects in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
We recruit people with a variety of skills in the following areas:
- Database development/design: MS Access, MS SQL Server, Oracle
- MS Office applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint
- Development: C, C++, SQL, PLSQL, PERL, Unix Scripting
- Environments: Windows 2000/XP, UNIX
How long do the client projects last?
We have developed long-term business partnerships with clients such as Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and UPMC. The length of the project and/or contract varies according to our client company’s needs. The vast majority of our projects are with clients in Pittsburgh, or they are available to do remotely.
Does your firm offer team member benefits?
You will be eligible for benefits provided by the company on the first day of the first full month after you begin employment. The company’s current benefit programs include medical plan options, dental plans, and long and short-term disability. You will also be eligible for 8 paid company holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO) that combines sick days, vacation days, and personal days into a single total. Vacation days are earned bi-weekly for a total of 4 hours each pay cycle. DWC maintains a qualified 401K plan for the purpose of providing retirement benefits to our participating team members. Team members many contribute a portion of their pre-tax pay into their account. You may also qualify of DWC matching funds of up to 4%. Team members are eligible to begin 401K contributions after one year of service.
